Advice for Senior Citizens

Check on Callers to Your Door

• Have a door viewer fitted and this will enable you to see the caller without opening the door.
• A door limiter will enable you to partly open the door.
• If you think a caller looks suspicious - Keep him/her out. Tell him/her you are busy and get them to call back when there is someone there with you.
• Official callers will have an ID card and always ask to see it.

Lock Up

• There is no need to turn your home into a fortress but is important to have good locks fitted to your windows and doors.
• Lock them every time you leave the house.

Be a Good Neighbour

One of the best means of crime prevention is a good neighbour.
