Safecom launches the Safecom GH1202 personal tracking system
Safecom has launched its new personal tracking and location devices for lone workers, field operatives, children, or any individual who needs the security of a digital "minder".
The new personal tracking system addresses the problem of lone workers being increasingly at risk as they try to perform their duties, and the responsibilities of employers under Health & Safety guide lines to provide a duty of care.
Safecom's management system also provides total visibility of tracked personnel at all times, enabling companies to manage their workers effectively, and demonstrate to clients that they are fulfilling their required assignments.
Safecom's solution provides emergency alerts, geo-fencing, real-time and historical reporting, battery levels and detailed street level mapping.
The device features GPS tracking to an accuracy of 5 metres, an SOS panic button and two-way voice calls to up to four pre-defined numbers.

The T-Series has been specifically devised for companies requiring additional support in safeguarding vulnerable workers by enabling them to erect a Geo-fence or ‘safety zone’ around a predetermined area, and receive alerts if their lone worker travels outside of a predefined invisible boundary.
Ideal for lone workers in the transport, retail and financial industries to ensure that they safely reach a specific location at a precise time, the Identicom T-Series can also be used for audit tracking to protect personnel from accusations that specific tasks have not been carried out in a precise location or to highlight signs of kidnap.

Many companies may have a need to track individuals for security purposes. There are a variety of lone worker tracking systems that are specifically designed to increase employee safety.
Employees such as health & care workers and probation officers that are required to visit an individual’s home address can often be at a high risk and a tracking device can significantly increase their safety, providing peace of mind to both the employee and the employer. Tracking devices such as those integrated into identity badges, which can form part of a uniform, offer complete discretion.

Three Raids in Three Weeks
A lone worker at Piltdown Service Station was threatened with a knife by two masked men at about 6pm on Monday night. The worker was described as shaken but uninjured.
The robbery is being linked to two previous attacks, one on November 23 and one four days later.
Knives were shown and cash stolen in all three raids. Though the offenders have escaped on foot police believe they have a vehicle nearby. Monday night's raiders were wearing army-type camouflaged clothing and black balaclavas. Both men are thought to be white, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 11in and medium build.
